About SUGGEREIX project<\/h3><\/div>
Monitoring, risk quantification and evaluation of regenerated water treatment systems<\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1644229940872{padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”]The SUGGEREIX project<\/strong> carries out a series of actions aimed at facilitating access to information and resources for reclaimed water in Catalonia<\/strong>, in order to facilitate decision-making related to Trace Organic Compounds (TrOCs) and microbiological contaminants in water regeneration and reuse processes.<\/p>\n

The research integrates information related to the management of TrOCs and microbiological contaminants<\/strong> into reclaim and reuse processes and to generate new knowledge to develop uniform criteria and facilitate decision-making in the ACA<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”2599″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

  • Gather up-to-date information on the state of the art<\/strong> of regulations and reuse guidelines.<\/li>\n
  • Create a database of Catalan and international reuse cases<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Adapt the risk analysis methodologies<\/strong> of the presence of possible pollutants in reclaimed water.<\/li>\n
  • Determine the performance, impact and costs of the main methodologies<\/strong> for water regeneration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]

    • Refine, calibrate and validate<\/strong> the methodologies used in three full-scale case studies.<\/strong><\/li>\n

      Project results<\/h3><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1644230186861{padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”]The results of SUGGEREIX<\/strong> will establish the methodology to quantify the expected benefits of the existing and planned reuse actions<\/strong> in the second cycle of the Management Plan of the River Basin District of Catalonia. To consolidate the role of reclaimed water<\/strong> in the actions aimed at improving the availability of water in Catalonia in the third cycle of hydrological planning (2022-2027).<\/p>\n

      The SUGGEREIX project develops its activities to recommend treatment and monitoring strategies in the context of a decision support system<\/strong> for a variety of end uses for the use of treated wastewater, considering its environmental and economic impact, the necessary risk management strategy and the most appropriate monitoring tools for each case.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]
